Introducing Kryvyi Rih center of vocational education metallurgy and mechanical engineering
Kryvyi Rih center of vocational education metallurgy and mechanical engineering is a modern vocational education institution that trains competitive workers in the state metallurgy space. Our educational institution began functioning as a vocational school № 45 in 1977 at the production base of the Kryvorizhstal plant (nowadays – ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih).
A lot of effort and energy were put into developing the vocational school, forming a powerful engineering and teaching team, but it brought great results. Since 2005, our educational institution has become a structural unit of the scientific and methodological complex, in 2009 the school was renamed the Kryvyi Rih center of vocational education metallurgy and mechanical engineering.
Our educational institution has opened educational and practical centers:
- Electrician skills (Electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment. Electrician for lighting and lighting network. Electrician of power networks and electrical equipment)
- Turner skills (Machining tool operator, software control machine operator. Turner, milling machine operator)
- Crane operator skills (Crane operator in metallurgical production. Crane operator. Crane slinger)
- Qualification center for the profession “Electrician”

The educational institution is accredited according to the III attestation level.
The students study the following professions:
- Machining tool operator, software control machine operator
- Turner, milling machine operator
- Electric gas welder, electric welder on automatic and semi-automatic machines
- Electric gas welder, gas cutter
- Crane operator in metallurgical production
- Electrician for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Electrician for lighting and lighting network.
- Electrician of power networks and electrical equipment
- Plasterer
Highly qualified and experienced teachers and masters of industrial training work at our VET. Teachers and masters of industrial training develop partial qualification programs, electronic learning resources for vocational education and training. According to the results of their work, numerous articles and collections of research papers and methodological instructive materials are issued annually. Teachers and masters are regular participants of different seminars at the international, state and regional levels.
Students of the educational institution take an active part and win prizes in different sports competitions, artistic activities, project activities, subject olympiads, contests of professional skills.

Kryvyi Rih vocational education center of metallurgy and mechanical engineering maintains close international cooperation with foreign partners. Our center participates in the project "Development of Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih District", which is carried out by the state development agency LUXDEV (Luxembourg). In 2021, our institution collaborated with the Bavarian Economic Education Center (Munich). The goal of this cooperation was to train and improve the skills of internally displaced people for better integration into the labor market.
The classrooms are equipped with modern and powerful computer equipment, which have access to the Internet via local and WIFI networks. The workshops have modern equipment for training specialists in the metallurgical and mechanical engineering industries.
